Women’s entrepreneurship plays a vital role in advancing sustainable economic growth, fostering social mobility, and reducing poverty in developing economies. In Pakistan, female-led micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) represent an underutilized driver of national development due to systemic socioeconomic, cultural, and structural barriers. This paper examines the dynamic relationship between female entrepreneurial activity and macro-level economic development across urban and rural Pakistani contexts. By analyzing key operational constraints—including restricted access to formal credit, low financial literacy, socio-cultural norms, and limited digital inclusion—this study highlights how female entrepreneurs navigate informal markets to create livelihoods. The findings demonstrate that targeted policy interventions, streamlined microfinance frameworks, and digital literacy initiatives significantly enhance enterprise scalability and financial independence among women, ultimately contributing to broader human capital accumulation and GDP growth in Pakistan.
